Generally, the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Baku does not issue tourist visas.

In accordance with the Schengen rules the Embassy usually takes a decision (on an average): within 3-5 working days for VPN applications (applications registered on Visa Portal Norway), and 15-20 working days for applications delivered in printed version (applications not registered on Visa Portal Norway). However, the period of time for taking a decision on a visa application may be extended up to 30 calendar days in individual cases, notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed. If the Embassy considers it necessary, additional information will be requested from you. If the case falls outside of the Embassy’s scope to approve the application, it’s usually sent to the Norwegian Directorate of Immigration (UDI) for decision-making, and it may require longer time for its processing (up to 5 months). The Embassy will notify you on your case processing and/or decision either by an SMS or phone call. Therefore, we kindly ask you to provide your cell phone number in your application and wait for our notification (please, provide only your contact details). Applicants registered their applications online using the Visa Portal can check their cases’ status online.
