Important Notice about Change of Chinese Visa Application Method
Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (CVASC) started its operation on December 16, 2009. Chinese ordinary visa (including tourism, visiting relatives, business, study, employment, transit, crew, journalism or residence visas) applications should be submitted to the CVASC. CVASC will also collect visa fees and return processed applications on behalf of China Embassy in Malaysia. To ensure CAVSC's operation, a service fee will be charged.

About Hong Kong Visa & Macau Visa for Malaysian Citizens
Malaysian passport holders are exempt from a visa to Hong Kong for a maximum stay of 90 days. They are also exempt from a visa to Macau for a maximum stay of 30 days.
Required Documents for Chinese Visa Application
Basic requirements for applying for any type of Chinese visa
1. Your valid original passport with at least two blank visa pages and at least 6 months validity left before expiration.
2. One completely, correctly and legibly filled Visa Application Form of China (Form V2011A) affixed with one recent passport photo. If you are applying to work or study in China, or if someone else travelling with you shares the same passport, or if you are applying for a visa in a country or territory other than the country of your current nationality, you should fill out the Supplementary Visa Application Form (Form V2011B)
3. An non-Malaysian applicant need to provide an original and a copy of Malaysian residence permit or a valid Malaysian visa.
An applicant holding a passport other than Malaysian passport should provide the original and a copy of his or her permanent residence or work permit which should be valid for at least half a year (except for those who are visa or permit exempt for residing or working in the Malaysia).
Additional requirements for applying for the following types of Chinese visa:
1. Tourist/Family Visit (L) Visa: The basic requirements are enough for a single entry L visa.
If you apply for a multiple entries L visa, you need to satisfy one of the qualifications:
(1) You are the spouse, child or parent of a Chinese citizen. The original and the copy of Marriage License or Notarized Kinship Certificate are required to be provided.
(2) You have real estate in China. The original and the copy of Property Ownership Certificate registered under your name is also a requirement.
2. Business (F) Visa: "Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit" or "Confirmation Letter of Invitation" is required, for more details, please contact inviters in China.
If you apply for a multiple entries F visa, you need to satisfy one of the qualifications:
(1) You have been to China more than two times holding F visa in the past year. The copy of the former F visas are needed.
(2) You have an investment in China. The original and the copy of Chinese Business License registered with your name are also required.
(3) You are manager of a Malaysian Corporation which has branches in China. The Application Letter from the Malaysian Corporation is also needed to be offered to the embassy.
(4) You need to go to China frequently to carry out contracts. Please provide the Application Letter from the Malaysian Corporation, the original and the copy of the contract with a Chinese company.
3. Transit (G) Visa: An air ticket to the final destination and a valid visa of the country of destination.
